The next morning, wake up early to admire the sunrise over the dunes before heading back by camel or 4×4. Today, your 2-day desert tour from Fes to Merzouga begins! We’ll first visit Ifrane, known as “Moroccan Switzerland,” with its European-style architecture, parks, and lakes. Next, we’ll stop at the Cedar Forest near Azrou, home to ancient cedar trees and playful Barbary monkeys. After feeding the monkeys and enjoying the forest, we’ll head to Midelt, the “apple capital,” for lunch.
Continuing through the Ziz Valley, the landscape transforms into desert as we approach Merzouga. Here, you’ll ride camels to a comfortable desert camp, where you’ll enjoy a traditional Moroccan dinner, drumming, and Berber songs under the stars.
Wake up early to witness a stunning sunrise over the dunes, then enjoy breakfast at the camp before returning to Merzouga by camel. Meet your driver and head to Rissani, where you’ll explore its lively market (especially vibrant on Sundays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays). N
